An Obsession... Or A Couple.

I know it's not healthy.  I know i really shouldn't indulge myself.  But here they are, my three newest obsessions:

1. Sherlock Holmes
2. Lost

Alright.  I suppose you would all like an explanation.  (cricket.)  Yeah, well, for the TWO people who DO read this blog, I am going to give you one whether you like it or not!

1. Sherlock Holmes
I just finished rereading the canon- all 4 novels and 56 short stories, spread over two massive over-600-page volumes now sitting proudly on my bookshelf.  And boy, let me tell you.  They.  Were. AWESOME.  The heights of my obsession are demonstrated when I tell you that I have ordered off Amazon another full set of the stories... this time, annotated.  That means written next to the words are little notes on when the story took place, where it took place, every little nuance of London life in the story compared to life back then (no, there was no 9:15 train to Sussex but there was a 9:20...) photographs, coats of arms, essays.... OOOHHH!  FANGIRL SQUEAL!!!  I am a bit over excited for it.  In fact, I am waiting for it to come in the mail... at four o clock witness me sprint to the mailbox with the keys, frantically open it, bursting with hope... and slump back dejectedly to the house empty handed, because it's delivery date isn't till at least tomorrow.  Well, a girl's gotta have somethin' to look forward to during school, right?

2. Lost
The above was a bit of a ramble.  But if you know this blog, you are probably used to it by now.  Anyway, this will be shorter, I promise.  I am now on the beginning episodes of the third season, and we have just found out that Ben is terminally ill.  Jack is the only one who can successfully perform the operation that will save him... but Juliet wants him to botch the operaton and kill Ben.  (If you don't watch Lost, skip to  the end, because you will be so lost from now on... excuse the bad pun.)  I think Jack goes through with it and either accidentally or accidentally on purpose botches it cus on the dvd package there is a pic of Ben in a wheelchair... oh, bloody hell on a bike, i wish they hadn't given it away!

ANYways.  I now have internet on my computer, so I should be posting more often.  Keep an eye out!
